You press F1 to see what combos you can do (also, exactly like Blade) and all they will say is "up, up" or "right, right", etc.

It wasn't until halfway through the game before I even figured how to execute one. With the sword you can perform special moves (or combos, as I like to call them), and as you progress through the game, you acquire more combos (again, similar to Blade). You are invincible (but any damage taken will reduce your time as a demon) and your strength is devastating.
